It's the Winter Solstice - er, the day after the Winter Solstice, because on the actual Solstice I couldn't resist the whole "three/trilogy" thing - so why not get spooky? For the first four people to comment with a question - any question, silly or fictional or serious - I will draw a Tarot card and answer them.

 

(Tarot cards are for entertainment purposes only. Pretending to be a witch is illegal, actually. I'm just goofin around, and I like it when other authors do this one.)

Happy Day After Solstice! I didn't do much on the actual day either, mostly just trying to make lists to cross things off of all weekend.

Is it? I could see "pretending to give accurate readings or posing as a psychic when you're doing a thing from profit," but pretending to be a "witch?" Cuz. That's not something one can easily enforce or disprove.

ETA: Did my own Googling: It is in Canada, apparently! Huh. I learned today. I think in the US it's just unethical. Several New Age shops I know couldn't function otherwise.

Heh. I was being slightly facetious, but there is in fact a law against it here! In practice, what's actually illegal is pretending to practice witchcraft for the purpose of defrauding people; the law is not meant to prosecute anyone for their sincerely held spiritual beliefs.
